Friends of Lower Farm PTA
Our PTA is a formally constituted volunteer group made up of parents and teaching staff. We exist to support Lower Farm Academy in achieving their vision of providing exceptional experiences for every pupil, every day. We bring together pupils, their parents/carers and the wider community by organising and delivering fun, engaging projects and events. We raise vital funds to pay for equipment, projects and opportunities that the school budget cannot cover.
Our Committee
There is often a misconception that PTA members are part of a clique and ‘People To Avoid’! We would like to reassure you that we are just a normal group of friendly parents who work as a team, for the greater good of the school. We have a range of skill sets that we utilise to successfully plan and deliver our projects/events. We are approachable and open to suggestions – don’t be afraid to get in touch if you have any feedback or ideas!

- Friday 24th November: Non-uniform Day (bottle donation)
- Friday 8th December: Non-uniform Day (chocolate donation)
- Monday 18th December: Christmas Fayre
- Friday 9th February: Friends of Lower Farm Magic Show
- Friday 1st March: Non-uniform Day (Easter egg donation)
- Thursday 21st March: Easter Bingo
- Friday 24th May: Non-uniform Day (bottle donation)
- Friday 7th June: Non -uniform Day (gift donation)
- Saturday 29th June: Summer Fayre
Volunteer With us and join “Helping Hands”:
The PTA is supported by a parents and carers ‘Helping Hands’ group, who support some of our events both in preparations and on the day. Members could be asked to help set up for an event, run a stall, engage with local businesses, or utilise specialist skills they may have. If you would like to get involved with the PTA, but can‘t give the time to be a committee member, Helping Hands is the group for you!
